Glazed Chestnuts

(Marrons Glacés)

Chestnuts are harvested in October and November and for that reason, they are generally regarded as a Christmas treat, however this delicacy can be enjoyed year round.

The chestnuts are soaked in water, peeled and wrapped in tulle two by two

in order to hold the chestnuts whole and to avoid breakage.

The traditional method is to candy the chestnuts for about seven days in vanilla bean syrup. Finally, the chestnuts are removed from the syrup,

drained and glazed to become Marrons Glacés for your enjoyment.

Our Marrons Glacés are an all-natural product.

Because it contains no preservatives, it is better consumed within 2 weeks.
